Ralf Dahm has
- given over 45 popular scientific lectures in Germany, Austria, Italy and Romania
- participated in over 10 podium discussions on topics such as cloning, genetic engineering and human embryonic stem cells
- published over 45 interdisciplinary and popular scientific articles, including for leading journals, such as
- Scientific American (premier popular science magazine world-wide)
- American Scientist and The Scientist (major popular science magazines in the USA)
- La Recherche (major popular science magazine in France)
- Spektrum der Wissenschaft and bild der wissenschaft (foremost magazines in Germany)
His popular scientific articles have been translated into over 20 different languages.

Furthermore, he has
- co-organised national science exhibitions, e.g. for the Max Planck Society (2001-2002)
- represented the Max Planck Society at the World Congress of Science Producers in 2002
- represented the City of Tübingen in its application to become City of Science in 2005
- from 2000-2003 been in charge of PR for Christiane Nüsslein-Volhard, Nobel Laureate and member of Germany's National Ethics Council
His work has received extensive media coverage, both from print media (newspapers and magazines) and broadcasting media (TV and radio):
- approx. 70 articles have been published that reported on his work and/or quoted him. These articles include some in leading newspapers such as Focus (China), Tages-Anzeiger and Neue Züricher Zeitung (Zürich, Switzerland), Current Biology (London, UK), Der Standard (Austria), Süddeutsche Zeitung (Munich, Germany), Welt am Sonntag (Berlin, Germany), art - Das Kunstmagazin (Germany), La Prealpina (Italy) and The Globe and Mail (Toronto, Canada)
- in 15 television documentaries, such as 3SAT, Kabel1/Pro7, Südwest-Fernsehen (ARD), NBC GIGA, N24, BR alpha (all Germany), Deutsche Welle TV (international) and ORF (Austria)
- in addition, his work has been featured in 4 radio programmes, including one for Deutschlandfunk (national public German radio)
In addition to these activities, he has held the different positions with responsibilities in Public Relations and Science Communication.
